Hello there. My name is Alanna. New to the site, thank you for having me and thank you to the administrator for the great thread on identifying marks to look for on my gun. :)
I have a gun I would like to get information on:

S&W 22 M.R.F. CTG
Model-51
Hand Ejector
Serial Number 83229 (located on the butt of the gun under the grip)
Barrel lenght -3.5"
Adjustable sights

it also has what looks to be Marcas registradas, Smith and Wesson, Springfield, MA stamped on it.

I am trying to find out what this gun is worth and if anyone can suggest pointers of selling and where to sell.

Thanks all!

AL

You are welcome to sell it on the classified section of this forum.

You might start off asking 5-550 for it, you can always reduce the price if you don't see many buyers at your starting offer. The model 51 is a pretty neat gun.

Welcome to the forum! You've done a good job identifying the gun. I'd say it's worth in the $500-$800 range depending on your location. Someone else can tell us if that range should be wider.

A good place to sell it is on this forum in the for sale section. You'll need several high quality pictures. Wait until others weigh in on value. Meanwhile, browse some of the ads to get an idea of the angles you need to photograph, or we can give you tips.

Edit. By the way, the barrel should be measured all the way back to the point where it meets the revolving cylinder. I think it's a 4".

Welcome to the Forum. The .22 Magnum Kit Gun is a neat little revolver. Yours is wearing the optional target grips.

"By the way, the barrel should be measured all the way back to the point where it meets the revolving cylinder. I think it's a 4"."

Alanna is correct. The standard length barrel was 3 1/2".
