S&W 22 won't feed 29 gm bullets

I mistakenly bought some CCI mini-mag 22 L that are 29 gr bullets. Thus the overall length is shorter than a 40 gr bullet. These won't feed from the mag into the chamber. The short bullet hangs in the mag. Here is photo. I notice that it doesn't say LR, only long. Guess made for rifle.

Are you certain these are .22 LR? CCI makes these in 21, 32 (Stingers), 40 and 45 gr bullet weights but not 29, which are more typical for the .22 Short and Long.

If it is a .22 Long the short bullet may keep it from feeding properly, even though the Long and LR case are the same length.

Mystery solved! Good for a revolver or any gun that will use .22 S/L/LR interchangeably.

Haven't seen Longs in a while!
Lately CCI seems to be renaming and repackaging their 22 Ammo.
It's not alway obvious if it's a new Ammo or just an Oldie in a new box, sometimes a Plastic Jar.
