I purchased a model 22S for my daughter five years ago and she stated shooting Bullseye with it and did fairly well. She just graduated to a model 41 with a five inch barrel and this pistol is unbelievably accurate. Her scores have improved and she is doing much better. Only complaint is that it took me over a year to find one. Why does S&W not up production on this pistol?

The model 41 is not that hard to find you can get them from Smith directly or they are on sites like Gun Broker it's just not to many stores are going to carry a $1400 .22 pistol but most will order it if you ask

Depending on where you live dictates the price on the M41 as in Canada you can be charged up to $1995.00 for a new one in box with all the trimmings. Most of us look for a good used one which is generally around $800.- $1200. with case and box and assessorries included. Of course the difference in the barrel length also comes into play in costing of it as well. 5",5.5", 7" or 73/8". Also RUGERMAN Welcome to the forum as well. Jdeuser Welcome to you also.

Last fall, I mentioned here on the forum I was looking for a 41. A forum member gave me contact info for a dealer in Michigan that had a new Mod 41 PC. Called the dealer and it was on the way. Beautiful gun.

Model 52

That.
There are over 100 on GB right now. ...and that is just one site. There is likely one or two to be had locally if you ask around the same league she shoots. There were around here when I was shooting competitively.

???

You can't help but trip over the things.

Why don't they make more? Because it's an expensive pistol, it's not as easy to make as a Shield, and because the market is already saturated with used Model 41s.

By "Oz" you mean "Australia"?

Because in the States, $2700 for a 41 is just plain retarded. I mean, I would absolutely believe somebody putting that number on the sticker, but it's still retarded.

Wait for it as remember certain prices on some items always go up never down. Sooner or later some fool who wants it bad enough will pay the price. Even my 1958 has a unusual serial no. 12304. Yes I want more for it then a normal 1958 year pistol because of that serial no. So easy to remember.
