Was emailing around for a 686 3inch at my local dealers and ran across one of these.

S&W 27, 8 shot 357mag, 3.5" nickel, Lew Horton exclusive, $995.00 With registration Certificate and the Aluminum performance center case

Is this price to much for this gun? Well be my first revolver so just want to make sure.

Also havent even seen gun yet.Ive been talking to the dealer thu emails.

There is nothing wrong with that price for that revolver, provided the revolver is in great shape.

I completely agree. A Model 27 with a 3 1/2" barrel is a very nice combination. Unless there is something amiss with the gun, this is an excellent handgun at a decent price.

And welcome to the Forum!

I LOVE the 8 shot 27/327/627 revovlers. Here are all of the 8 shot 27s that have been made so far.

My 3 1/2" blue 8 shot is one of my favorites.

Only 250 were manufactured in nickle. If I did not own one, I would jump on it at that price. They do not show up that often.
