Hello all. I just aquired this Model 632 AIRWEIGHT chambered in a .32 with what i belive is a 3 inch barrel. I dont know what year or how rare this gun is but want to find out. I pulled off the grips to get the SN but there are a multitude of numbers on the frame. There is a 5 and 50 below it. also 8x818. there is a # on the butt BFVxxxx and anather lasered on the side of the butt xxxx 292. There is also a small round sticker marked 29. The case it came in says AirLite Ti, so im a little confused. If someone out there could assit me in identifieng this gun, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

They put the 632 in the wrong box. The serial number should start with BFV*** I attached a photo of a 632 end sticker that is on the correct box. So how did you find such a rare gun??

You have a Model 632 Airweight Centennial .32 Magnum. These guns came in 2" and 3" barrel versions and are fairly scarce, having been produced in 1991-92 only. The serial number dates your gun to 1992. Your gun is indeed the 3" version, the gun pictured below is the 2".

Makes complete sense. it is a BFV gun. I got it from a friend who needed cash...he said $350 and i didnt argue. Im lucky to have had a chance to buy it and cant wait to fire off a few rounds!! thanks for all the great info!

Congrats on getting a rare gun at a GREAT price! I've seen NIB examples of that model--with the more-common 2" barrel--sell for $800 or more.

According to the factory the Model 632 (the original chambered in .32 H&R Magnum, not the recent version chambered in .327 Federal) is the rarest of the Centennial Airweights, with a total of only 1,346 built. Around 900 of those had 2" barrels, which means only a few hundred were made with the 3" barrel.

The 632 was introduced in 1991 and discontinued in 1994. Yours was almost certainly built in 1991, because the 3" barrel was discontinued in 1992. I have a 2" version with the same BFV prefix (BFV79xx); it was built in January of '91.

The 632 can handle four types of .32 ammo: It will take .32 H&R Magnum, of course, but it also works with .32 S&W Long (great for low-recoil plinking), .32 S&W (short), and even .32 ACP! (.32 ACP is a semiauto pistol round, but it has a semi-rimmed case that fits and functions perfectly in the revolver.)

You got a great deal on an outstanding revolver. Enjoy your new gun! :)
