I have a new S&W 317.In order to shot center I had to move my rear sight way to the left.Another member of my club just bought one and she too showd up with it with the rear sights to the left to shot center.Someone that was at the club said the barrel is not on straight.Said it was a problem with them. And showed me that the rear sight mount was not in the center of the barrel.Anybody have this trouble.Or know anything about it.
Thankyou

Never had the problem with mine. I shoot it quite a bit and it is pretty accurate up to 10 yds..then accuracy drops off.

I sent it back to S&W let them have a look at it.I shoot plates with it about 35 feet and it shoots well.Love the gun.Its the small fact that I have to have the rear sight so far to the left to hit center. Thanks for the respond

I shot my new 317 last week, and was impressed. I traded in my P-22 to get it, and there was a BIG improvement in the accuracy department. I guess it's the "luck of draw". The light weight sure is a plus.

Well I hope S&W can straighten it out for me.
I already have the speed loader and two loading blocks.32 and 48 round.
So no matter what happens she is here to stay.

When did 317 speed loaders come out? HKS?

hit it on the nail.He shows a 32 round loading block and a 48 round loading block. But if you ask him he will make you a bigger one.
I found when just your just praticing the 32 is not big enough.I found this to hold true with my 617 too.I have a 40 and 60 for my 617.and a 32and a 48 for the 317.The reason for the 40 round and the 32 round block is because they fit load in the Dillon Percision box that are about 4x6 with you speed loader.Thats what I use when I go to the line to shoot plates. These speed loaders work great.Like I said if you want a bigger loading block ask Dave about it
