I picked this one up today in a trade.

It was priced to the moon ($1200.00) but I only have around $500.00 in it with an CW musket I traded for it. I have other/better musket examples and i bought it for trade fodder anyway.

Serial # M6951 Early 70s I guess.

Very nice shape, not a mark on it other than a tad of muzzle wear.

It has some type of S&W J-Frame square butt target stocks on it....Black spacers on the inside. No serial stamp.

It came in a box but it had no end panel sticker so I can't tell if it came with those stocks or not.

I'm not really sure if I like them yet.

Nice gun! It probably shipped with magnas. The J Targets that are on it were popular accessory grips and really are pretty nice for shooting. I have a pair on my Model 63 4”. Give them a try and you might like them!

They are so nice I hate to scar them up in the field. :o

I went ahead and ordered a decent set of Magnas that a guy had on eBay for a reasonable price.

I have an extra Tyler T-Grip that fits it so I'll likely use that combination as I have several J-frames set-up that way and the combination works well for me.

If'n I roll out to the range this one is in the bag. Shoots about a foot high at 7 yds, but it's such a hoot, I can't leave it behind. Enjoy. Joe

Many years ago I had a 2" Model 34.....That thing would not shoot worth a hoot.

LOL....I was better off with an old Stevens single-shot break-open pistol for it's intended purpose of a trapline sidearm.

The 34 did not stay with me long but I still have the old Stevens. ;)

AAAHHH grip choices.......

I have one just like yours. Great little gun. But i will admit I like the K-frame Model 18 better. ;)
I have a set of target grips on my 34 and love 'em. To me that's the best grip for that gun. In fact, I have the factory targets on several of my J-frames. Try 'em, I'll bet you keep those on it. :D
