Video of single action only trigger pull (2.5 lbs): Briley SA Trogger Pull - Album on Imgur
I picked this up as a part of a three-piece package (posting the other two now). Am going to do some research to find out what optics were in use then and see what makes sense. This has been very, very lightly fired (if at all beyond production testing).
This was a mid-90's gun made specifically for IPSC/USPSA competition. Made from a 3566 frame, S&W introduced the .356 TSW round to make major power factor in USPSA, then USPSA moved the requirement to be a .40 cal or larger bullet (now back down to 9mm for Open, but still .40 for Limited).
This specimen was actually made/finished by Briley, including their barrel, their sperical bushing, their optics mount and Performance Center tuning on the single-action only trigger.
I have an email from Briley talking about their production of these guns and plan to visit them in person to see what, if any records they have. This has a BRI0088 serial but appears to have been originally made in .40, not .356 TSW, and I'll likely submit that to the Standard Catalog if I can get more details.
