Some time back after shooting an old snubby of mine my wife came home with a S&W EDC kit with a 360J in it for a ridiculously low price of 568 dollars plus tax . 357mag airweight , solid cylinder that weights 14.7oz and with a typical today built in lock and heavy trigger !

My wife shot it some and put it away saying I hope we will never need to carry a revolver . Shes use to a tuned 1911 or a ok P365xl Well months later out of know where she asked if I could make the trigger function more like my like my old one ? I ordered a apex J frame kit and a TKC lock delete kit . Pricey little sucker . Any how I just finish installing ever thing , lock deleted , and the DA pull weight as 7lb 15.4oz average SA pull is 2lb 10oz . NOt as good as my old snubby but O bet it will be after some range time some day ! Any how the APEX kit was were while . I think with some vise grips and a few minutes on the sanding bel the delete kit could be made the from stock parts . Oh well my wife's pleased .
Photo shows the kit and the revolver .

The videos do have some short comings for removing the hammer lock but nothing a little common sense can't get you through . The apex kit was a breeze even with no special tool shown to aid with changing the hammer return spring ,

With a change in springs, I would run at least 100 rounds of my carry load through the gun. There is a reason S&W installed such heavy springs in these J-frame airweight magnums; IIRC, to ensure proper ignition in these flyweight revolvers.

I bought a 649 in a private sale years ago: it had a beautiful DA trigger pull and I made the mistake of carrying it to the range. Of course, I had numerous FTFs, the original owner cutting the mainspring. Installation of a standard J-frame mainspring solved the problem.

I know that but since we carry other handguns for now it will get the round fired over time . By old snuibby is a taurus 85 SS from '90 and I could not tell you if it had a real nice trigger pull new or it just turned out that way over the years and rounds down range when it was a at work carry . Trigger today totally reliable still with 2lb 1oz SA pull and 7lb 4oz da pull .

I'm only in to upgrading firearms so they work better yet stay reliable . This s&w 360J was brand new and parts replace are brand knew from a quality company - APEX Tactical . No cutting springs !?
