Here are some known ship dates:

.44 H.E. Model 1926 serial 29179 shipped in April 1927.
.44 H.E. Model 1926 serial 32637 shipped in November 1928.

Here's mine, a nickel 4" bbl .44 HE Model of 1926 shipped to W&K. I picked this up at a local gun show about 10 years ago, and it came with the Mr. Jinx letter and the mahogany presentation case. You can see that sometime back in the day a previous owner decided to modify the revolver by replacing the half moon front sight with a rib and Baughman-style sight (1930s-40s?). The revolver was also nicely re-nickeled. The magna stocks were also incorrect, but I replaced them with some Grashorn Elk Antler stocks that I later "aged". Back then I paid $940 OTD, and considering the $100 letter and $150 for the presentation case, I bought the revolver for about $690. I thought it was a fair price.

Wiregrassguy: You can add this one to your database (see the Jinx letter).

Here are two more from this era:
29179 4/27
34451 3/30

Edit: Just noticed that 29179 is already listed above - must have obtained the number from one of my previous posts.

$400 OTD is quite a break! Most of us would have Loved to had paid the full $650 and still feel that we got a deal. Also the gun seems to be a 5" barrel Not a 4" barrel. Can't tell if a refinish from the single picture in your original post, But either way you made out like a bandit.
Congratulations, that's some score.
