I have a S&W 460 XVR with Weigand base & scope mounts,sporting a Leupold VX-III 2.5 x 8 handgun scope.

I use it mainly for Whitetails & some black bear, using hornady 200gr SST. Most shots are under 50 yards, but I would like to be able to reach out to 100 to 125 yrds.

While the Leupold is a great scope I don't like it for quick pick up of target.

I am leaning toward one of the following but am un sure what might be the best move?

AIMPOINT COMPML3

Not scared of the price, (will sell the Leupold) but would want to make sure it would fit the bill?

FASTFIRE II RED DOT REFLEX SIGHT

I like the idea of the Fastfire II, but am unsure of being able to shoot accurately out to 125 yds ?

Any input from experience using 460/500 with the FASTFIRE/Aimpoint for hunting ? accuracies ?distance?

Thanks, God bless!

before you give up on the scope, look at a Burris scope. Pay attention to the "field of view" specs of the Burris vs your Leupold. the wider field of view will help pick up on the target.
