Hey Y'all, been reading here but decided to join so I can get full benefits.
I was finally able to get one of the guns on my bucket list which is the S&W 500 with the 8 3/8" barrel and I freaking love it. Shoots great and very accurate and easy to controll if you give it the respect it deserves.
I've shot several different kinds of ammo but now I want me and my son to try the biggest there is.
Does anybody have any 700 grain loaded ammo they can spare. I really don't need a whole box and I'm willing and rather just buy a few rounds. If anybody can spare a few please email me. Thanks

Unfortunately they are out and no longer carry the sample pack. Thanks tho.

I had some 500 grain that a friend gave me. That's the highest grain I've tryed so far. I believe there's a 600 but can't find those either.

A friend gave me one of his S & W 500, 700 gr. lead flat point rounds he loaded today.

Talk about a beast.

Steve

While the .500 S&W will shoot a 700 grain slug it is by no means optimal for the caliber.
Bullets weighing between 300 - 500 grains are ideal. Heavier slugs are all about testosterone and BS bragging rights.
The 700 grain bullet tweaks EVERYONE's interest...try the web site for "M.D.Smith" to find actual loads for the 700 grain slug.

So I guess I'm going to be your new best friend.
Go to Matt's Bullets Ammunition here; Matts Bullets Ammunition
He has 500 magnum in 350gr 2 440gr and the "700"gr.
50 of the 700's cost $115

Good luck and if you want to send your new best friend 5 of those PM me.
My 6.5" 500 would love to torch off a few.
Have fun.
