I saw a S&W model 559 for sale in a local newspaper.I called the guy up,he bought the gun new and it has spent most of its life in the safe.He said its like new condition.No box or paper work.Asking $450.00.Is that the average price? Thanks for any feedback,

That is a fair price. Standard 59's and 459's can go for that much. If it's in nice shape I'd say go for it. Or give me the number to that shop.
Sounds like a good deal for an all steel 9mm.

All steel 1st - 3rd gen 39s and 59s bring a premium.
