Got the newest edition of the S&W Standard Catalog and noticed Smith has a lot of new stuff in the last few years. Specifically the Model 619. A seven shot L frame in 357 with fixed sites. One of these would fit nicely in Model 10 collection, but until a couple days ago I'd never heard of it let alone ever seen one. It appears that some were made but it looks like it might have been a short run.

Anyone ever seen/held/owned one?

Thanks

I do!!

I bought brand new Model 619 and 620 4" guns(only length made) when they first came out. IIRC there were complaints about the 2-piece barrels and Smith quietly stopped making them. I have shot mine occasionally and both have run well for me. The 619(fixed sight) shoots tighter groups than the 620(adjustable). I know S&W has made a number of revolvers with 2-piece barrels since these guns came out.

I had this one for a while and my brother wanted it for the 7 shot capacity and L frame. He still has it and likes it.

I couldn't warm up to the lock and the 2 piece barrel. I'm told they are fine, but for whatever reason, I still prefer my old school S&W's.
