I only have seen a couple of these sell on the gun auction site. One brought $1000 and the other one that didn't have good pics brought about $650.
Is there something special with these?
What is the going price for this model?

Thanks for all your help.

I just paid 600 for a 25-5 that was 98% with box. Not the same thing, but close.

I bought a 4" Model 25-5 new years ago for $250 (must have been years ago!). I remember that nobody wanted them then and trying to find .45 Colt ammo in the local shops (Maryland) usually involved buying very dusty boxes of older stock. I sold that gun when we bought our first house and have lamented the sale ever since.

Hi Ryan,

According to SCSW-3, there were 1,550 625-5s manufactured in 1993 chambered in .45 Colt. This was a "Stocking Dealer" special run and the s/n range was SDSxxxx.

There were also 48 produced with a stainless steel frame and blue cylinder, and a 5" barrel. S/N range was CLS0000-CLS0047. These were produced for AcuSport.

So, there weren't many produced. I don't have a clue about the current value, but I would guess that the $650-$1,000 range is a fair price.

I have one that I shoot occasionally (very accurate) My understanding is they made them in limited numbers for a year or two. The one I have is the 5 inch 625 classic design in .45 LC. To my understanding thats the only Bbl length this one came in.
