I have an S&W 629-5 with 6-inch barrel, fluted cylinder, Hogue rubber grips. See pics.
- The Blue Book of Gun Values lists several model 629, along with six variations of Model 629-5. The 629-5 are:
- V-Comp
- Defensive Revolver
- The Extreme Hunter
- Stealth Hunter
- Compensated Hunter
- Light Hunter Plus

Mine fits none of the descriptions of the 629 or the 629-5. Any idea what I have, and what the manufacture/ship date was. The serial number is CEY5155.

The 4.5-inch barrel and the wood stocks are not original. They replaced the original 6-inch barrel and the original Hogue grips.

Barrel

Where did the 4.5" barrel come from? It is not a cut barrel as the ramp is still part of the barrel. Did you measure the barrel from the muzzle end to the front of the cylinder?
