S&W 64-3

Is there anything special about a S&W 64-3 3" barrel round butt?
I just saw one on GunBroker listed as rare with a BuyNow for $579.
It had a bobbed hammer and it looked to be about in 90% condition.
Just how rare are these?

64 3 inch

they are a little harder to find, i bought a nice one a month ago from a guy for $450.00 and i thought i was paying to much, then a week later i bought a 65 3inch for $460.00.

$579 is way too high imo...

Bobbed hammer may be a law enforcement issue. The three inchers are apparently out there as are the four inch ones. It's the two-inch barrel version that seems to be quite scarce.
