I just got a 645!

I am looking for a set of Pachmayr grips, as well as a good condition replacement rear sight. I would also like to find a replacement backstrap, if at all possible, as mine is a bit banged up. Had no idea the backstraps on these guns aren't metal, until I got my hands on mine.

And does anyone have any 4506 (not 645) magazines they're willing to part with? I'd like to carry my 645, but require magazines that can be disassembled for new springs and cleaning.

The back straps on my 645's are metal, aluminum to be specific. Pachmayr stocks frequently show up on eBay, as do fixed rear sights and occasionally good condition back straps. Magazines are also available, the ProMags are cheap and may or may not work.

Factory mags are expensive and the most reliable are the ones with black plastic base pads and black followers. These were the final version made for S&W. The earlier metal base plates, especially the ones held to the magazine body by a small metal tab (first version of the 645 magazines) can come off when slamming the magazine into the pistol's magazine well.
