A quick note, after "haunting" this forum for quite some time & gleaning the wisdom of members here I finally registered! I have a question for the wise men regarding a S&W 66-3 with 2.5" barrel, Serial # BNA17XX, this regarding the rear sight blade height. S&W tells me it is .106 but everything I've read on these older models states that the 2.5", 4" and 6" Mod 66 all take the .146 height blade. Any suggestions and opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

My 66-2, 2.5" measures 0.146"...
Does the 696 also use the .146 blade?
Thank you to the gentlemen that responded. The chart indicates as we thought these models take a .146 blade height. The S&W rep I spoke to recently was very helpful but insisted his data showed a .106 height for the 66-3 2.5" but nothing in the research indicates so. On a sidenote, I'm good friends with our local long time small town police chief & he tells me he doesn't like S&W wheelguns & I tell him he speaks blasphemy !! That's what I grew up with, " when semi-autos weren't cool".
