S&W 669 MAGS

Was wondering if anyone could tell me where
I could pick up a couple of mags for a 669

I'm not a 2nd gen shooter,but a 669 appears to be a compact variation of the 459,according to the forum uses the same mag as the 6906.

Correct. Unfortunately, those magazines are discontinued. The 6900-series pistols themselves were discontinued in 1999 (17 years ago... my, how time flies!).

The good news is that 6900-series magazines can still be found but not on that big auction site that we can't mention unless you are willing to settle for the 10-round version. Yeech!

I had been trading them away for 5900-series pre-bans up until very recently. Probably wasn't very smart of me to do that but you've gotta do that you've gotta do to get what you need most. Now, I'm a little short on 6900's

There are plenty of them on that firearms auction site we all know and love but prices aren't necessarily cheap. Watch for the occasional bargain there and watch here in the classifieds as well.

Another option, which I really like, is get some
of the readily available S&W 5900 15 rnd ones.
Then get some "plus two" adaptor base plates,
and you're good to go. Some people don't like
the very small gap that will be between the mag
base and bottom of frame, but I think the 16 rnd
capability makes up for it.

Someone has a magazine listed in the for sale area below for a model 469. Should work fine in a 669.
