Can the 952 be used for PPC Distinguished auto matches?? The rules say a catalogued item, whatever that means and then specifically calls out the PPC9 as allowed for both open and distinguished matches. Does the 952 fit under these rules?
thanks.

thanks. Do you consider the 952-2 a competitive setup for both open class and the distinguished match?

IN 6" YES. THE LONGER SIGHT RADIUS DOES HELP. BUT YOU NEED THE ARISTROCRAT 3 POSITION REAR SIGHT FOR TOP SCORES. JP

If it's a 5" 952, use it for "Stock Auto." Get a 6" PPC9 for both, open and distinguished. It may be a bit hard to find a PPC9, because they don't make them anymore.

Do you think the PPC9 is more popular than a 1911 9mm? If I read the rules properly a 1911 would have to be factory pistol, i.e. Les Baer? I have one for bullseye competition but it is a caspian frame/slide gunsmith built custom.
Thanks for asnwering my newbie questions. i've had a hard time getting replies on PPC questions.

The only reason I like the 6" PPC9, is that it states in the PPC rule book that it is okay for distinguished match and you can use it for open. Just one less gun needed for PPC.
