That looks great and I've consider getting this done on a Mod 36 c.a.1970 so thanks for sharing the results.

Just and FYI Ithe S&W insignia under the cylinder release may have been modified and possibly your ampersand. None of which would bother me because I really like it.

Cost works out to about what one in original condition with no wear would bring, assuming that you could find such a gun.

You broke even, less the waiting time for the work. And they couldn't quite get all the pitting off of the trigger.

Still, you now have a nice example of that model. Gee, we used to take them so much for granted...
 
At first I didn't like the stocks / grips. But they're growing on me. They seem like the checkering might work out well for gripping. Although I kind of like more on the heal too.
 
We like it, and glad the "factory" pulled it off, made it work........there may be hope again, that sure beats ANY of the alternatives...........
