Hello,

Is a LNIB Centennial Airweight or Pre-42 I guess anything special or are they pretty common?

What would a person ask for a really nice one in the box if they were selling it?

Thanks

Any pre numbered S&W which is still "new in the box" is going to be very hard to find.
I would say if it is as stated, $500-$600 would be a fair price.

There are some different variations of a pre-42 and some of these variations can make the the gun very valuable. If it is an early gun with an aluminum cylinder the price could very well be into the four digit area. Nickeled guns seem to be very scarce in both the pre and model marked guns and tend to bring a good premium. If the gun you speak of is neither nickeled or has the aluminum cylinder it is still in my opinion a hard gun to come by NIB. If you pay $750 or more it will be a good investment. -Chad

If it has high horn grips and is NIB the current value is north of $750.
