S&W Classic finish

Wondering if you guys could give some info on the finish quality of the new Classic series compared to the blue on say 70s-80s era revolvers, (blue). I have a number of the old, been looking at the new online, but haven't been able to see any locally. thanks

In a few words, the Classic finishes are nice but will never come close to the finish that was put on the "70s - 80s era revolvers".
