My wife and I celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary (Nov 22, 2024) in New York City. While there, we went to the Metropolitan Art Museum (The Met) and I saw these pretty revolvers.
(Sorry for the reflective glare.)

In addition to going to The Met and seeing these revolvers, my wife and I had a wonderfully magical 50th Anniversary trip (20-25 Nov, 2024).

God bless,

Happy anniversary!

A few years ago my wife and I were touring the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford, and I greatly enjoyed their collection of Colt arms and associated tools and documents.

As an interesting side note, I see that the museum gift shop has the exhibition catalog “ Samuel Colt: Arm, Art, And Invention” on clearance for only $5 (+shipping). I neglected to pick up a copy while I was there, but I just remedied that oversight.

How did you find the Colt book on the Met website? I copied and pasted the title in their search box and got over 700 items they sell, but no Colt book.
I'd like to have a copy of it.
Thx,
Mike

This appears to be the same S&W Model 1 1/2 was sold at a Amoskeag auction for $264,000 including Buyers Premium. The gun was listed as being from the Roy Jinks Family Collection. The auction listing does not indicate that it was presented to President Grant.
