Thoughts one the new model CSX. I'm longing for one but want to handle one before buying it and nobody has one. Any owners out there

I recently got one, a E series 3.1”. I really like the ergos- fits my hand well for a subcompact gun.

In my limited shooting < 200 rds, it performed superbly. I was able to classify SS in BUG using the traditional IDPA classifier in my 2nd outing, equaling my rating with my SIG 365.

I’ve experienced zero malfunctions using both FMJ factory, hand loads and various hollow points.

My only complaint has to do with the 12 rd magazine spacers in those additional mags I bought- the spacers are loose and not conducive to rapid reloading IMO. The mag that came with the gun doesn’t have this looseness.

I’ve found the aftermarket support is limited, to include holsters. I ended up getting an OWB kydex holster from Upper Hand Holsters and an IWB from Black Arch- both do well with the gun.

I’ve not looked into getting an RDS, but the E series is cut for optics, a feature I appreciate for potential future needs.

I recently picked one up, seems to be a good shooter. Shot about 300 fmjs with no issues. Unlike the BG 2.0, sights are properly centered.

I agree with the other poster on the lack of holsters available. The shop I bought the gun from had spare 12 round magazines, they also had the loose spacers. The new style that the e series comes with is actually held in place by the base plate. There are spares available on numerous websites, but no way to know if they are the old or new style.

Seems you folks are running into the same issue most of us have dealt with on the loose sleeves of the CSX 12rd magazines. There are various fixes out there and here is a link to my fix.

As a note, my EDC 12rd magazines get carried constantly and the "fix" is still holding. I can still disassemble my mags for routine maintenance as usual.

Received some spare 12 round magazines I ordered on line, they have the loose sleeves. I came up with an easy fix. I put 4 layers of scotch tape on the bottom rear edge of the mag body, slid the sleeve over it, then trimmed the excess with an exacto knife. Keeps the sleeve in place.

II have shot but not maintained them, II think they are nice self defense firearms, but they got a lot of bad press from new gun owners when they first came out, because they were expected by their owners to be the only gun they would ever need for hunting, competition. long range as well as personal protection.
