S&W Custom Bowie Knife

Love this big S&W Bowie but history of them is hard to find. Does anyone have some idea on the history of these knives. Were they manufactured by S&W, Steel, dates produced, etc.

I am thinking they were made for S&W by Taylor Cutlery about 1990 but not sure.

Smith & Wesson used Taylor Cutlery for some knives while they were still manufacturing in the USA. I could see this being produced by them. Thanks

They first appeared in the Taylor Cutlery Catalog #59 circa January 1998.
