John, give it a rest...we get it your upset, but it is starting to sound like a broken record. We get it...we feel for ya...but there is a difference in keeping us posted vs ranting. We all hope you get it sorted out, but Jeesh!

You beat me to it ...

Thank you so much; You made my day!

Thank you so much. Your are so kind. I am in process with getting my affairs in order. In case you did not read this entire thread, may I enlighten you "LOL'ers". Part of my current activities involves leaving all my old firearms and this newly acquired (dysfunctional) 15-22 to my sons and daughters as a small remembrance of me, in addition to my other unnamed collections of various sorts. It's really a blast slowly dying from leukemia and Immune Thrombocytopenia. Yes, probably no 4th page for me, as I imagine this thing will arrive after my departure. I live blood draw to weekly blood draw. Look up (Google) platelets of 2,000 and WBC's of 200,000 and let me know how much longer I have, since (you last several posters here) are so insightful and wise. Warmest of Regards. John

FEDEX label arrived in my in-box within 10 minutes. Boxed it up, wrapped it up, and Fedex picking it up now. Maybe they can still convert me into a "believer"? Will keep all posted. Regards, John

That is sad that two weeks of frustration was handled in 15 min. by someone who gives half a s#&t! They will fix your rifle but there was a 10-14 turnaround for both of my weapons (OR and MP 15-22) that needed repairs out of the box before the madness began in December. Hang in there and you will be happy when they get it right!

Sorry, I thought this thread was about S&W customer service...but I do hope you the best with your health problems...I really do.

Sure was until the last several posts? I was waiting for over 2 weeks until a guy just typed my name and sent me a return label instantly? I find that to be a very sad form of customer service, all the while everyone here has been telling me what a great Customer Service Dept S&W has? I guess I am just unlucky. But after today, and after one key stroke at S&W, I believe I have a legit reason to rant? I was getting jacked around all while being kind and patient with them. Probably hundreds more getting jacked?

I am happy that I have never had to use S&W customer service and after reading this I will say that a lot of gun companies could thake a lesson from armscor (rock island) When I had a problem and called them, Their next question was will someone be home tomorrow so we can have ups pick up the gun. No mailing lablels sent I just boxed it up and the ups guy showed up with the label and took it 14 days later gun was returned with problem fixed and It had 2 extra mags, stickers, ink pens, armscor patch in the box with it. No fuss no muss.

Your Fifty three posts on this subject is more than a rant and could not be doing your health issues any good either. Just sit back and be patient as your rifle will be returned in time and no amount of additional ranting is going to hurry it. Once it is returned I hope you have a nice family involved day at the range.

You beat me to it ...

I am surprised by your lack of compassion for JZinckle, he has terminal leukemia, and your Salvation Army avatar????? I was taught by my Christian father to treat other men with respect, he was a Lt.Col. in the Air Force, Pilot, went through TET, while being the Air Force Laison to MACVSOG, he contracted Multiple Myeloma and received a stem cell transplant at Wilford Hall, it was his toughest battle. The OP is genuinely frustrated and rightly so with Smith and Wesson, and their wonky customer service. My nearly five years as a Hospice Chaplain taught me that men need to vent to other Men, he was depending on you for a little moral support as he attempts to get his affairs in order, it is Very Important to Him, to leave His children something to remember him by. I think you and several others are missing something here, and to John, I think all these gentlemen are man enough to offer you the apology you deserve, and I hope Smith and Wesson gets your rifle back quickly, and feel free to share your frustrations, I will be praying for you and your children, you are a very brave man for sharing your hurts publicly, and thank-you for your example and wanting to leave your children a Heritage, they will remember your love and kindness, not a day goes by that I don't miss my Dad. billy

Sir, with all due respect, if the OP hadn't brought up his illness, it would never have been an issue. I grieve for his illness and pray that he makes a complete recovery.

Now .. his illness has absolutely NOTHING to do with the subject of this thread, which is his problem with S&W's customer service. It has been a continuing rant, one post after another, and THAT is what many folks have been commenting upon. I do hope the problem gets resolved quickly. His experience is so atypical that many folks have wondered what is actually going on.

My father died 20+ years ago after illness and I miss him too. That, like your post, has absolutely nothing to do with the subject of this thread.

Majorlk, Thanks fomr your response, we all are famaliar with tragic illness my wife is gone (MS) as are so many of my friends. I have convictions every bit as strong as anyone on this forum but that was not the issue as you reminded everyone. S&W will correct the problem and Jzinkel will have fun with his kids but 53 posts by him bashing S&W got a little old. In my opinion this topic should have been shut down a couple of pages ago. I shall respond no further.
