Had an issue at the range last time we went. The wife's 442 jammed, couldn't pull the trigger. Unloaded it with some difficulty, couldn't see anything, loaded it back up, cylinder jammed. She had shot about 100 rounds up to that point, some USA ammo, some of my reloads. Had just opened up a box of Winchester White box when the problem happened, so my first thought was the ammo. I tried loading one round and shooting it which worked, loaded fully, same problem. At that point our time was up, went home, looked the gun over, cleaned it up, 'loaded' up some empty cases, dry fired just fine. Measured a few of the WWB rounds, compared to some other ammo I had, no real difference. Spoke to Winchester, they gave me a couple of things to check. Spoke to S&W, they didn't think the ammo was the problem, offered to send me a return label, (whether I decided to use it or not, they offered to send it anyway). I went back to the range after cleaning and checking, all was good. Since it's the wife's carry piece, we decided it couldn't hurt to let them look it over. I expected a month or so without the gun, (she's been carrying my PF9). Got a letter in the mail a couple of days ago stating that they had received the gun, it would take 2-3 weeks after they received it. The gun showed up today, just two weeks from the day we mailed it! They went over it, replaced the cylinder. Ain't nothing to complain about, excellent customer service!! When it comes time to buy another gun, the name sells the first, service sells the second, third.....
