S&W dates of mfgr.

Hi, All:
I don't have my S&W reference books with me, and I would like to find the dob. of a mod 27 S&W revolver. so far, I have not found any information on this or any other forum, on S&W revolvers. I can find out info on all other brands, but I guess S&W info is not common information. Can anyone help?
