S&W Holster Fit

Can't find my S&W catalog with holster fit chart; what does a S&W holster marked 04-24 fit? Thinking 4" L frame, maybe? Seems a bit loose for my K frame?

From a quick DuckDuckGo search that would be for a 3 1/2 to 4 inch model 27, 28, 29, 57 or 58 and is a high ride model.

It looks to be in very nice condition. I hope you have something with which to try it out. As the L frame is a bit smaller than the N frame, maybe an L frame would fit. I do wonder about the L frame's usual full length barrel lug and ability of the holster to accommodate that

Yes, it's in great shape. Unfortunately; I only have an N-Frame in 6" barrel right now.

There is some variation in the fit with different holster styles.

24 = S&W L, N frame, Colt, Ruger SS, GP100, Dan Wesson, High Standard, Webley

3 ½ in, 4 in barrel length

Wow; I wonder which frames it fits well; there is a lot of difference between a N-Frame and a Ruger SS (Security Six) I suspect it is sized for the N-Frame and they listed other models that would fit even if loose.
