I was surfing the web and found a what looks like copy of a Roy's Leather Goods style pancake holster. The back was indeed stamped with the S&W logo.

I did a bit more research and the holster was called "The Hugger"? Anyone familar with these?

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Murph - Take a look at the S&W Leather catalpg for 1980. It shows the Model 44 "Hugger" holsters. For small frame 2 and 4 inch barreled revolvers and the Model 39 and 59 auto. They are a pancake style that rides high on the belt withthe "FBI" tilt. They have a thumb break and came in black & russet and plain or basket weave. I have several in my holster bin. Later models like the 459, 469, etc. will also fit the Hugger. The 1982 catalog shows them still available at $23.95 for plain or $25.95 for basketweave. Ed.
