Does anyone know of a dealer relatively local to the Kansas City, MO area that participates in the LE/1st Responder Sales Program? There are plenty of Glock Blue Label folks around, but I can't find anything about someone that is a part of Smith's program, and their website only lists regional distributors.

Go onto Bud's and apply for their 'Qualified Professional' program.
THEN take the price on their site to any LGS and ask if they'll match it. If they really want your business, they will match it.

If they won't match it, find an FFL with a good transfer fee and order off of Bud's.

The only one I know of is Quantico Tactical in Junction City. They stock everything M&P and most if not all of the S&W AR-15 line.

I have purchased from them and they are great to deal with.

You can mail order from Quantico Tactical in VA as well. They will ship to your local FFL. The only downside is since they have a store in Junction, they will charge you sales tax.

Thanks for the responses. I was hoping to find a brick and mortar shop nearby, but have been looking at online options just in case. I have ordered from Bud's before and had an easy experience since my FFL was already in their list of preferred dealers, but they are out of stock on most of what I am looking for. I have also been looking at Quantico, but didn't know how smooth the whole process of providing my EMS card and FFL information would be.

And Jhawk412, I have a Kansas EMS card and work in Kansas, but I live on the Missouri side, so I can skirt that extra cost of taxes. Again, thanks for the info. It's good to hear of good experiences with Quantico since it looks like that will be my option.

I used to live in your area. I don't know know of any off hand. But each manufacturer uses different dealers. So__if you're looking for a Smith & Wesson 1st responder dealer you might call S&W. Is there some reason you want to use one close by?
I've used Quantico Tactical to purchase a Shield ($299) with ten
bucks shipping. I've also used Atlantic Tactical but I felt they were really just brokers. It took a while to fill my order and $30 S&H!
There's no reason I can think of for needing one close by.
With Quantico Tactical (They ship from a different location than Virginia I think__maybe PN.
I placed the order and it was on its way in one day.

One reason I prefer someone local if possible is that I just like to support local business whenever possible. The other is that I would like to see the firearm before purchasing. I know I can inspect it before taking possession from the FFL, but it's more of a hassle to have anything be wrong with it at that point.

I second the Quatico Tactical team in VA, i recently purshased a First responder M & P 9mm fullsize , great price 484 with trijicons night sights , comes with 3 each 17 round mags, great service, and they know there firearms very well, one of the sales persons was even carrying a M & P shield on his hip, xd.

Just wanted to say thanks for all of the input. I just placed an order with Quantico Tactical, and hopefully it will go smoothly. I've got a list of S&Ws that I am ready to buy in a relatively short time frame, so let the fun begin. :)

They can be hard to find. I didn't in Tucson. (Now live South of there but was LE in KCK__retired)
The best by far for ordering on line (LE & First Responder) is
Quantico Tactical. My Shield was $299 + $10 shipping.
I bought another one, earlier from Atlantic Tactical. A bit higher price and $30 S&H. Before I found Quantico Tactical.
Good luck.
