M&P pro 40 core

I am new here and am interested in getting a Pro 40 Core. I have read plenty of articles that are both good and bad. Thought I would ask you all and see what comes of it. Any info will be appreciated........

I have a 9mm Pro CORE (5") I have over 25,000 rounds through it since last June and have had no problems. I did change the trigger to an APEX FSS but that was just due to personal preference. I haven't put an optic on it yet but wanted the option available. Some don't like the tall sights but after the initial "strangeness" I've come to like them. I use the pistol for competition exclusively (including practice) and the only 2 failure to fire incidents were due to some faulty Federal ammo (primers were in backwards) so I don't consider that a pistol failure. Try it, I think you'll like it. :D

I have had my 40L CORE 5" since May and I really like it, I have not had any problems with the stock trigger, but would like to put a Apex trigger in it and see the difference. I will most likely put the RMR on top of this gun in the near future, but just have been busy with other things for now.

Thank you all for your response. I have decided to get it this week and am really looking forward to getting it at the range. I want to wish everyone a very merry Christmas .......

I saw an ad about a 3-1 caliber , 9mm, 40s&w, 357sig. Just change barrels and mags to change caliber. Is this real and if so is it any good? Thanks for any info......

I bought the KKM 9mm barrel for mine. Excellent barrels very accurate. I don't know if a 357 is available through KKM or not, they would be the only manufacturer I'd buy from the for the M&P. I also put the Apex trigger, and the Leupold Deltapoint. It is a tack driver and fun to shoot.

This has been discussed many times on this forum (and others too I suspect). It is real and most people report good results. The 357SIG and .40 use the same mag. You should use a 9mm mag for that configuration. Some have used the .40 mag but there have been reports of problems with the smaller 9mm rounds not being retained in the .40 mags.

Thank you. Just wasn't sure. I am new here and searched but obviously missed that topic.
