I just bought a NIB M60 PRO 357 mag. I have a 686 and know I can shoot most any load that I want in it. What about my new toy will it hold up to magnum loads or should I load them down a little bit. I will use it at the range and for ccw when I find a good way to carry it. It feels lighter than my M&P 357 sig compact. It will be after the holidays before I will get to the range and I am just trying to get an idea of what loads I need to get loaded up to carry with me. Thanks for any help. By the way it has a 3 inch barrel.

I have another J frame .357, the 640 pro.
It has handled every .357 I have thrown threw it but knowing that the larger K frame has endurance issues with the hot loads of a .357 I do not shoot a whole lot of the magnum rounds through it for longevity purposes. I would recommend loading them down for that reason and for shooting comfort.
A light load of .357 is still nothing to scoff at.
