I stupidly helped a retired asst Chief sell his model 64 standard (pencil) barrel. I should have grabbed it myself.
I only have one which was a former police duty gun. It's been done over like the factory "combat revolver package". Shown with its model 10 cousin also done over after living a hard life in a police holster now is bead blasted blue.

a 3in.64 with a pinned barrel.

The 3" model 64s started late in the -3 era, past the time of pinned barrels, and I too have never seen one. Easy enough to create one if you have the parts and equipment though.

I have to say I don't get the term "pencil barrel". What's it got to do with pencils? Are tapered barrel Model 15's "pencil barrels"?

I'm not opposed to it, just don't get it. But if you use that you might as well call magazines "clips". But I don't mind that either.
