I just picked up my first S&W mod 19-6 serial number BPR-0XXX and was wondering how old she is and what .38 special stock ammo to feed it for target shooting? Thnx

I believe it is sometime after 1988.

Info received- gun was dated as 8/93. Nice shooter in almost pristine condition.
