S&W model 1500

I have Lupold mounts on mine, same mounts as a Howa 1500 or a Weatherby Vangard.

I got mount that fit good]unfortunately the rear sight screw is blown and I'll need replacement of the sight now. Other than that this rifle is practically brand new. I bought the game reaper mount fits perfectly. Got the screw out and put nice bushel scope. Here's where the photo is

I have a Smith and Wesson 1500 in 30-06 I bought it as a barreled action and put my own stock on it about 25 years ago it says made in Japan as many of you have mentioned but I have a detachable clip and when I tried to find an extra I was told by a few places they never made them with clips anyone ever heard of them with clips?

I also have the 7mm mag. I think the twist is 1:10. I don't load the 150gr. I have loaded the 145 Barnes LRX bt and the 139 LRX bt. I will have to double check what I was using. I think it was RL-17 with a CCI 250 primer. I took a NM Pronghorn at about 460 +/- last year.

I got a Hogue stock for my Savage 300 WM and feel that it has increased the accuracy greatly. I am in the process of getting one for the S&W 1500. Can't wait to see what it does.
