just got a 25-2 45acp sn 734xxx 6 inch can someone please tell me when it was made.thanks

I bet there's a letter N prefix to the serial. Is it a 6" or 6.5" measured from muzzle to cylinder face? I ask because in 1978 all 6.5" models became 6" to make them all the same but my 25-2 (N689202) still has the 6.5" meaning they were using up old barrels in stock and I'm curious when they finally ran out.

Yours dates from 1980.

thanks for the info. yes it does have an N prefix,6 inch barrel,wide target trigger and hammer,non-diamond checkered grips w/football cutout on the left grip and presentation wood case with the tools,and the best single action pull of any of my non-gunsmithed smiths.It looks to be unfired but I bought to shoot so that will change when weather permits! Any idea of value,i know its hard without pics/ 98% in my opinion. thanks again and no i won't call you Pig!

I'm no expert but as described I'd say $800 to $900 is in the ball park, give or take $100 for location, who's selling, etc.
