Does anyone know the serial number range for the Model 25-10 Hand Ejector of 2001. The Blue Book states that there were approximately 150 made for Sports South, Inc. in 2001. Any real collector interest in these?

Many Thanks!

The prefix for 170179 was "HEG" and IINM the sequence was HEG0000 to HEG0149.

A similar gun in .45 Colt was a -11 with prefix "GBP" and product code 170186. That gun was also made in 2001, pre-lock, but new frame, had a case color finish, the 4-screw side plate, a round-to-square Target style sock with diamond, and it shipped in an old style gold Heritage Series two-piece box. 150 were made.

Thanks for your response. What I have encountered is supposedly a Performance Center Model 25-10 with a serial number of HEG0212. It is in the aluminum Performance Center hard case and has qll of the factory paperwork sans the registration card which was completed and mailed to S&W. The fact that the serial number is greater than 150 has me puzzled. Would this be a completely different Model 25? Here is a couple pictures.

Many Thanks!
James

Don't worry about it. I was just guessing at the s/n's based on the published quantity of 150 and how I've seen them number special editions before. The answer is probably pretty simple.... they made a few more than 150. You can do that when you own the factory. Maybe there was a small second run for the aluminum case. I've only seen a couple, but they were in the gold Heritage Series two-piece cardboard box.
