S&W Model 36 3"

Clearly refinished, but I really like it as it is. How is the action? And what makes you think it may have been unfired?

A 3" 36 followed me home the other day. It's definitely not been refinished unless someone was going for the "sometimes holstered look." The balance is really nice but I haven't shot it yet.

nice piece - but look at lettering + circle around S&W in second picture , appears to be buffed + refinished -

My first thought was "it's been parkerized". Local gunsmith here used to specialize in that.

If you were already eyeing one and see one in good shape, buy it. They won't get any cheaper.
