S&W Model 36 revolver carried by CH-47 pilot in Vietnam 1970-71.

Interesting that he brought over a Blackhawk as there is an example in the book I wrote on Vietnam war trophies last year.

At least ammo for the 30 Carbine Blackhawk was plentiful. No so much for .357 magnum and 44 magnum.

Here are the only trophies I brought back. I posted the history of these two here several years back.

Awesome bring backs! I searched for your post but was unable to find it. Could you please post a link to it? I'm working on Volume II if your interested in being in it?

I am guessing that Nathan did not have any relatives that wanted that revolver so he decided to sell it.

I feel the same way. Im a retired firefighter and I have my grandfathers fire badges. You could offer me a million dollars for them and I would turn it down!

I have several of my dad’s things that I would not take $1M for. But if that opportunity ever presented itself and I said no , my dad would be screaming from the grave “SELL IT! It’s just a model 10”.
