I've got a chance to pick this up for less than $350. It comes with two magazines but no other goodies.
The only think I see missing is the rear screw site, not visible in the pictures.
What do you guys think about the (1) the model and (2) the price?

I did not disassemble it but plan on doing that tomorrow. Just on the fence right now about the purchase and interested in your feedback and other photos if you got them.

As to the model and the price....if you do not run back and buy it, give me the phone number and I will buy it right this minute.

I like the size and weight, plus it is a S&W

I have a 4014 (blue steel version) that I now shoot 10MM out of.

If it's a single stack, you should certainly pick it up and if it's a double stack it's a great price despite the 1 mag. You won't get hurt if you don't like it and decide to sell. Although I don't have a single stack, but will snatch one up when I see one for sale, I do have a double stack. Mines a TSW, it shoots lights out. My only complaint is that I'm not the biggest fan of the compact double stacks. It's a grip issue for me. I do really like the full and compact size single stacks as well as the full size double stackers. ;)

I's a single stack and has two mags.

That is a great price on that gun, I own the 4013tsw and it shoots fantastic. It has been my edc now for 2 years since I bought it. Mine is the double stack though I'm not sure there would be any difference though.

Franklin's Guns in Athens, GA had a single stack S&W 4013 and a 3953 a week ago, $450.00 each IIRC.
There is a used 4013 in Western MA (a little scratched up in spots but otherwise not too bad) with 2 magazines and no box. Tagged price is $435.00 (+tax). Didn't bother to ask if that was the shop's best price. I probably would have been more interested except that I already own a 4046 (bought for less money) and it didn't quite meet my "good enough condition" threshold after one recent bad experience with a gun I should have rejected or at least paid a whole lot less for. :o

So let be sure I understand the variations.
If its a 4013, it's a single stack
If its a 40113 TSW its a double stack
If its a 4013 TSW with a rail its a double stack.

The designs came out in that order? and the 4013 single stake is on the 45 frame.

Correct. The 4013 (S/S) is on the larger frame & the 4013TSW (D/S) on the medium frame. Here are pictures comparing the barrels.

Buy it. At that price you could part it out if needed & get your money back. :D

I just paid $450.00 for one with some holster wear.....has the box and two mags.

I paid just under $400 for my 4013 back in March. For $350 or less, it's a steal. They're great guns!

I don't understand shooting a 10mm out of a 40S&W. Different length cases...the 40 shouldn't go to battery trying to chamber a 10 not to mention the higher pressures of a 10. 10mm barrel I assume but still the pressures and ejection tolerances. Education, please.
