Sometime in the mid 1980's my sister's then boyfriend gave her a S&W model 49 as a gift. After several moves, college, and boyfriend long gone she could not find that gun! We have been looking for it for 40 years. While cleaning out the attic in order to sell our parents house, our brother found it in a shoe box!
