I have the chance to purchase a model 620 with a 4" barrel at a great price from a friend, so I know it's been taken care of.
I don't seem to be able to find much info about this gun, except it was manufactured to replace the model 66, which I had back in the 80s and really loved.
Anybody have anything they can tell me about it? pros and cons? What to look for?
Not looking for a carry gun, I have a S&W Shield for that, looking for more of a gun to target shoot with.
Thanks,

The 620 was only around for a couple of years. A- the full size revolver market isn't what it used to be, and B- a lot of people weren't in love with the two piece barrel. I don't ever seeing it reach a magical collector status because not many were made though.

It was introduced with a fixed sight version called the 619. I have one of those. It is a very excellent, reliable and accurate gun. The 620 is the same gun with adjustable sights, so I would be confident with it.
