Why no one in S&W marketing has thought of this is beyond me.
Offer a modern Stainless Registered Magnum that is custom ordered to the customer specs, just like the original.
Barrel:

Barrel should be the traditional style.

Both fluted, of course, and recessed.
Interchangeable front sight blades. Offer choice of plain or white outline rear blade. Also offer precision U-notch and small front bead sight like the old King sights.

Grooved target
Stainless or color cased.
Hammer:
Target
Humpback
Stainless or color cased.
Since this is a collector gun, no key.
