I just picked up an excellent condition 669 with 3 original 12 rd mags but I am not a fan of the stock plastic grips. I looked and can’t find a set of Hogues, did they ever make them for it? Is there a model hogue grips I can modify.
Thanks Jim

If you’re interested. I think I have a NOS set of Pachy’s in one of my parts bins.

If you can find a pair of those Uncle Mikes you will love them. I found a used 469 with them and searched until I found a pair for my 669. You can really tell a difference.

If you don't like the look of the factory grips you could take them to a belt sander, like I did.
I think they look OK now.

I see uncles mikes for the 5900 series all over EBay for the 459 etc , but none for the 669, 469, etc it’s frustrating.

It’s not really the look of the grips I don’t like, it’s the feel of that flat slick plastic., I like the rubber so I can grip the gun and feel a solid hold on it.

Are the 3rd gen grips compatible with 2nd gen? That would open up options if so.
I have the opposite problem.. I have a third gen and I'm looking for Uncle Mike's grips for it but all I can find are second gen grips made by them.

The Hogue Handall might be a good option for under $15. Its just a rubber sleeve in various colors and styles that slides over the grip. Theyre not specific to the 469/669 but the universal model should fit just fine. I found the pic online. Pachmayr makes the Grip Glove, which has versions both with and without the finger grooves.

Is yours an early 669 with stock panels like tom 45 has, or the later version?

Pics, man! We need pics!

Looks good!

I wonder if anyone has ever tried putting a really thin coating of silicone caulking compound on their grips to help with traction?

The later 469/669s had this style grip panel but I don't know if they're an improvement, slippery-wise. Shown with a Grip Plus 2 magazine adapter on a full size 5900 series mag. MUCH more comfortable for me than the standard pinky extension magazines.
