I was at a LGS today and saw a couple of S&Ws .The first was a Model 629 ,SS, 44 mag, 6-1/2 " barrel, wood target grips, in a wood presentation case. It was in new unfired condition. Asking price was $1250.
The other was a model 24-4, blue, 44 special, 6-1/2 " barrel, 95+ % condition. Target wood grips and another set of smooth wood grips, in factory cardboard box with all the paperwork. ***** What is unusual about it is that on the right side of the gun is the following: the barrel has engraved " Through The Line ". On the frame under the cylinder is engraved : 145 of 500 . And on the frame behind the cylinder is some engraving showing a scene with 2 horses one with a rider. It has not been priced yet because no one knows anything about it. Thanks for any information on these.
