I bought a S&W new model Russian (Uberti) from CABELA's a coupla weeks ago. This Uberti model was marked Navy Arms Co. over Uberti, Italy. I am astounded by the quality of this model in .44 Russian. The fit and finish is on equal footing with early S&Ws. The reason that I bought this is that I have two new model 3's in .44 Russian and I don't want to risk any breakage on these fine antiques. So I took the risk of buying a repro to shoot on the range. I am extremely happy with this Uberti and very glad that I opted to buy one!!! Henri (s&wfan2)

i had read about the new Uberti Repro's , nothing but good things. Dave Ciccione has written a couple books that might be useful to you, a lot of detailed info on the Uberti Repros as well as the originals. I have admired the Uberti's but the price tag is a little steep for me at the moment. Enjoy!

I have several vintage Colt and Remington C&B revolvers, and also bought replicas of each as I didn't want to shoot the originals. It's just as much fun to shoot the replicas. Mine are Pietta's and I think their workmanship is better than the originals.
