S & W PC Model 41 with Trijicon RM07-33

I now have the RMR in my hands but not fitted yet.
We are having our summer Xmas break and no shooting for me, but will soon.

UPDATE
This morning I had my first opportunity to use the new M41 since Xmas.
At first I only used open sights and was disappointed with my scores as with a black target, black front and rear sights it was difficult to centre the front sight and hit the bullseye. I am pleased to report that I did not have a single misfire or any other problem with the M41 all day which is a great relief.
During a break I attached the RMR and what a difference that makes. I suddenly landed every shot in the 10 ring with seven inside the 1" bullseye.
I felt I was cheating as this was SO much better than my beginner standard.
It was actually embarrassing as everyone looked at my target in amazement!!!

What can I say. Of course I am looking forward to the next competition!!!

OK, I know you want photos, let us see if I can do it...

This is why many bullseye shooters use a six o'clock hold where you aim at the bottom of the target and balance the bullseye on the front sight. This allows you to put the sights in the white where you can see them.

I understand what you are suggesting, but if you think about what you suggest the black target is still the background either side of the front sight making it slow and difficult for me to centre the front sight in the rear sight. Maybe as a beginner I am missing something here.
I agree that the small white bullseye sits above the front sight. Maybe we use different targets down under to you guys.

Imagine the black circle of the target as a clock. You put the 6 o'clock on top of the front sight and your sights will be out of the black. Adjust your sights so the bullets hit the center of the target.

Thanks civil1977, that would work if the target was white with a small black bullseye circle, however the targets we use are all black with a tiny white circle for the bullseye which is why there is no contrast either side of the foresight when you pop the white bullseye above the front sight. I do not think I am making myself clear, sorry.
